She'll bitch and moan about Oil and Natural Gas prices and we're sitting a shit ton of NG and yet we can't get it...why? Politicians like her block millions upon millions of acres for exploration, areas that are known to be rich in natural resources.

She's a joke as is her reckless environmental policy.
It should be stated that; the man she is replacing on this Environmental Committee wanted to disband the Environmental Protection Agency and repeal all EPA standards. This woman, however clearly more liberal than he, is a much better choice for a government committee on the environment.

Woo hoo! I'm building Ark II, a spaceship that'll take my family to Mars. With the imending global warming, it should be about right to bring my Jetski.

Back to the beginning of this thread, I don't think the liberal enviro-wackos could bear to pick on Hollywoodland. They NEED those people to be on their side.

Thats a pretty good point, I was a science geek as a kid and subscribed to a few science publications including the usual Popular Science

I remember reading numerous articles about acid rain and how by the turn of the century the vast majority of the planet would experience major problems due to acid rain. Needless to say that didn't pan out.

There were enormous environmental improvements made in the mid70s and 80s when those articles were being written

No!

Natural Emissions were a major factor. They still are. And the panic models were just plain wrong. That is why the subject is so dead with the environmental groups. If they could really take any substantial credit for averting a disaster they would scream it from the rooftops!

I don't think that matters anymore. It matters only if you can convince judges that it is so.

Global warming has been accepted by the vast majority of reputable scientists and meterologists in the world. James InHofe, idiot that he is, and a few other so-called "experts" who work for the RNC continue to push the crap that gobal warming is some kind of hoax by the left. All anyone of moderate intelligence would have to do to confirm that something is amiss is look at the fact that the ice is melting at the poles at an accelerated pace never before seen. The term "State of Denial" can be applied across the board to the Republican party, come to think of iteny that global warming is occuring, deny the need to do something about the sorry state of health care access in this country, deny that we are in a quagmire and caught in the middle of a civil war in Iraq, deny that their party is run by crooks, liars and thieves who don't give a shit about the average wage earner in this country, only the wealthy. Well, the right lost BIG TIME in this last election, it's high time for change, and change is coming, whether some of you like it or not. You on the right can deny all you want. Reality is fixin' to give you a wake-up call.

No, no it hasn't, but certainly you can create another thread if you want to get owned (joke!)...I mean, if you want to debate it.

Well, we spend millions towards religious interests and religion is not known to be 'the truth' either.
