If this was CNN, MSNBC, or any other news organization actively digging for biased stories like this, I would expect the people in charge to be fired immediately. For some reason, I doubt this will happen at Fox.

| I don't know who takes fox seriously anymore... i love how they brag about their election ratings being ever so slightly ahead of CNN Listen, this is what happened: everyone put on CNN for accurate results and calls, they put on Fox to see a bunch of conservatives conduct a funeral for the GOP, even I did that, it was very rewarding | ||||

| CNN is just as biased as FOX is. Just on the other edge of the spectrum. And no one would get fired for it either. | ||||

| That was written after the election and any such reaction would be a news story. The other networks have never made news about how Europe feels about Bush or the Iraq war have they? Never print or feature negative comments about the administration as news? Give me a break here guys? Somebody doth protest too much!

| I disagree with that, but I suppose arguing is pointless, because this is all subjective...we all apparently have a different opinion as to where the center lies. IMO, CNN is slightly left of center, whereas Fox is so far right it's falling off the scale. | ||||

Whether it was directed towards the opinion side of the news station or not, it shows an obvious bias commanding voice in what kind of message they want send out...99% of fox is opinion anyway

marching orders that say "insurgents...MUST be thrilled at the prospect of a Dem-controlled Congress" Also, your editorial argument is hurt by the fact they talk about what they are going to do with news reporter Jim Angle on the subject, and they talk about events far beyond what just the opinion pieces cover...such as focusing their broadcast on Hamas rather than the Democratic win just a day after they won Congress There is other stuff too: http://movies.crooksandliars.com/Cou...o-11-15-06.wmv You guys talk about the NYTimes as the most bias place ever...but their main story-getters in 2003 were those who sold their soul to the Bush Administration for access and worked the NYTimes frontpage as propaganda for pro-iraq war emssages More importantly, you think libertarian Tierney or conservative Brooks as editorialists would take liberal marching orders? No, because they are a much more respectable news agency than Fox NYTimes endorsed Lamont, yet Brooks demonized him and his followers constantly Even if this was just to editorialists, which it looks like it wasn't it is still the worst news style I have ever seen and the worst evidence of blatant bias

Why don't they just hire good editorial people and let them editorialize however they want?

| How many memos have we seen come out of CNN, ABC, CBS, etc doing the same thing, but only for their actual news? Their editorial and opinion shows lean conservative. Their editorial director was giving them the scoop and some ideas to bring up. The memo was addressed to their editorial department. I'll be the first to admit Fox has a bias, but this involves editorials... where you have to give some slack. | ||||

| Agreed, every reasonable person has known for a long time that Fox is a conservative/white house/gop mouthpiece ![]() It's not surprising that their editorial staff would be on the lookout for things that make Republicans, the White House, etc, look good, while making Liberals, Democrats, etc, look bad.. That's exactly what I'd expect from them. | ||||
