Lieberman's challenger recieved exactly 448,077 votes in both 2000 and 2006

Democrat Ned Lamont and Republican Phil Giordano both received the same amount of votes against Joe Lieberman in their bid to take his Senate seat in Connecticut.. Wow, what are the chances?

2000:

Federal Elections 2000: U.S. Senate Results

2006:

CNN.com - Elections 2006
2006 Connecticut Election Results - New York Times

Weird coincidence, or vast conspiracy?

Exactly 448,007 people who vote in that state just don't like Joe Lieberman!

I mean, what are the statistical chances of this actually happening?

I find it odd that less people in CT voted this time around than last time.. seems like there should have been more of them?

Extremely low, more likely it's a typographic error. Lieberman won by the margin the polls predicted. I don't think it's fraud, but it is strange.
