War on drugs is a failure and a horrible destruction of personal liberties. But there is are steps between War on Drugs and selling herion at 7/11 to 15 year olds.

Like alcohol or any other drug is magically kept out of children's hands today ?

You set the drinking age at 21 and you have hs students abusing alcohol. Lower the drinking age and you get middle school students abusing it. (UK for example) Have no laws and you get a big chunk of the country abusing it (US history).


Prohibit it completely and you get horrible abuse by the govt and horrible crimes surrounding the drugs.

Arden has the stronger point here, its easy for a 15 year old to get crack here in north philly

in fact, it is a lot easier to get crack than booze...and theres no worse drug than crack (community wise)

i think its funny that white people in america like to act all hurt and offended if blacks or hispanics want a day to themselves to celebrate (cinco de mayo, black history month) "why isnt there a white history month? whaaa" and where is that "cant we all just get along?" mentality when we talk about immigration? i heard some great ideas awhile back, like putting land mines on the border, or throwing them in prison on felony charges, great ideas!! all humans are equal, as long as thy are american, right?

racism and discrimination are never acceptable, but deisel66 tried to make it sound as if there is some conspiracy to banish white christians of the world. i could be wrong, but im pretty sure the most powerful man in the world is a white christian. elected to office twice, thanks in large part to his christian base. i dont believe for a second that white people in this country have ever experienced the same sort of racism or discrimination as the minorities have.

I'm all for them being able to celebrate their own history and holidays, but NOT when it comes before American holidays and history.

For example, last year a Texas city canceled their celebration of Texas Independence day in favor of Cinco De Mayo when it should've been Cinco De Mayo that was canceled.

And I don't complain about things like black history months because white Americans do celebrate their own history every day because it is taught in just about every school there is, and we have things like President Day and Martin Luther King Day and so on and so forth.

i think to even feel that way, you must have a slanted point of view as it is. there is a difference. for over 200 years, white people could own slaves as property, not as employees, but as property. so its not hard to understand how a black person could be offended by any sort of racial slur directed at them. same goes for native americans, early mexicans, etc. one way or another, the blacks and native people of america were bent over somewhere along the line.

also, give me a couple of good examples of where a white person has been singled out at the expense of another race?? and since when are atheists viewed in america as a strong voice to be taken seriously??

well thats a texas thing i guess i personally feel like people take holidays way too serious. i am just as annoyed with the PC stuff.

from my posts it sounds like i hate the white man, lol, but its really just an observation of the obvious. just from experience, its not very easy to be taken serious as a minority in this country. im not saying its impossible, or that people should not try, but the road is just a bit longer.
