| Thoughts on Mark Sanford? wiki - Mark Sanford - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Current Governorof South Carolina, I think he shows a nice libertarian bent on economic issues, although I havent heard much on the social side, but he doesnt seem to talk about gay marriage, family values, etc. much which I guess is decent for a SC republican  In my opinion his: Pros: - Willing to stand up to his own party, as seen in his 105 budget vetos South Carolina news, sports, jobs, homes, cars - Respects property rights, even quoted John Stuart Mill when he vetoed a bill regulating teens driving atv on their own property   - Will veto minor bills such as driving in the left lane tickets if he feels the fine is too great, has a good sense of common sense http://www.scgovernor.com/uploads/upload/S.307.pdf - Worked to privatize social security while in the US House of Rep. - frequenty defends the free market Cons: - Dont know his social stances very well - Says this year was his last race  | ||||
