Ridiculous. And given the current level of unecessary police force, there's a decent chance the woman would have been shot anyway because the police "thought she had a gun in her hand" instead of a phone.

Nothing but senseless drug laws and bad police procedure caused this woman's death.

Look the lady for what ever reason made a huge judgement error that cost her her life. NO fault to the officers involved. They simply can not stand there and be shot at. There are people in surrounding homes endangered by an untrained shooter wielding a weapon in a residential area. If not to save their own asses, to protect and serve the community.
Now you can argue that if they hadnt gone there they wouldnt have been in that situation. But sense possesion and distribution of cocaine is illegal thats a usuless argument.

You are right. She should have called the police. This is the obvious thing to do when armed men are busting down your door. Call the police and wait 30 mintues for a squad car to arrive.
