Cool vid. I love how they isolated that great block in the vid. Watching a great block is almost as much fun as watching a great run.

Had my ticket for the big 12 championship game bought 6 weeks ago. I have a handle of makers mark ready and will be in arrowheads parking lot by 330.

Last friday during the NU vs. Colorado game, rumor had it that so far 57,000 tickets were sold to those with a nebraska address. I smell a pseudo home game at arrowhead.

I never really got into Football and watching it now just bothers me. The players care more about looking good than playing well. It's like their primary focus is putting on a show and not playing football. I'd watch wrestling if I wanted that, if I want to watch football just give me a football game without a bunch of idiots jumping around and dancing like monkeys.

I know what you mean. There is a famous coach (can't remember who) that was asked by a reporter: "Why don't your players celebrate when they make a touchdown?" His reply: "I like my players to act like they've been in the endzone before."

I LOVE Steve Smith from the Panthers. Probably the best, most exciting receiver in the NFL but I HATED all the end zone acts he did. Well this year he has stopped. He made the comment that he was a pro and it was time he acted like one. Bravo!

I dont mind the "high 5's" and other celebratory gestures. Its not a matter of whether they have been in the endzone before, but if its a great play or wins the game there should be some enthusiasm or passion about it. Scoring and handing the ball to the ref like they dont care just seems like they are not having fun to me. I dunno. While they are "pro" it is still a game.

I think some of the stuff Chad Johnson and TO have done are funny, but they are a bit drastic. Either way i don't really find it an issue. If it delays the game, give them a delay of game penalty.

At least Chad knows it's all an act and he's kind of making fun of people taking things too seriously.

I don't mind a little celebration. After a hockey goal the guy puts his hands up in the air and skates off hugging his team. In soccer, the goal scorer puts his arms in the air and takes a little victory run. In baseball, they may wave their hat after a home run... Whatever, that kind of stuff I can deal with. But when the guy starts gyrating like a mental patient on crack I get turned off. It's like they care more about the ESPN clip and their stupid end zone dance for the latest Madden '9938394 than scoring the touchdown or completing the pass.

I miss the days when pro football was about football and not the stupid taunting urban b-ball court mentality. They look more asinine than a bunch of 14 year olds taunting each other on their local basketball courts. And they're supposed to be professional athletes. They act like 8 year olds who watched too much wrestling.
