"Gore says he has no plans to run for president again and with so few candidates declared for 2008, it's too soon to pick favorites.
Gore did say Republican Sen. John McCain is a “capable guy'' whom he disagrees with on a lot of issues."

I think it slights a lot of the Democratic party. It's interesting either he or the article only mentions one man.. a Republican. And that Republican is a very controversial pick for a Democrat. Interesting indeed.

The more Republicans see Gore giving props to McCain, the less likely he'll recieve the nomination, the more likely a democrat will win

IMO McCain is the only Republican who can win in 08

Why do you think a rino could win ?

The conservatives are running away from Bush, they arent going to come back and vote for McCain. And he isnt going to win that many Dems or independents.

He's too culturally liberal, the religious right won't turn out for him, thats the key to their GOTV

anti-Hillary talk is over-rated...the same people that hate Hillary hated Bill, and they couldn't even get Dole past 40.something%

the moderate males who admired Rudy for his 9/11 aura would be completely outnumbered by females who wanted to vote in a female president they feel can do the job, even if their politics don't allign

2006...the GOP turned out high, it was EVERYONE ELSE who slaughtered the republicans

I know somewomen who'd vote for hillary for the woman reason but I also know some who wouldn't vote for her for that reason

They'll vote for him over a liberal like Hillary who wants Hillarycare, ban all guns, etc.

If he got the nomination he could pick up a lot of Independent voters and NY.

I agree that Gore will not help the McCain bid. But I am curious why he talks of the Republican front runner when he says he wont run and not "you know who?"

I think there is a lingering feeling of blame that he lost 2000 because the Clinton's personal antics put such a damper on his campaign strategy. He had to take credit for what the administration acomplished and distance himself personally from Clinton at the same time. Some say to much! Without that 2000 might have been his for the taking?

The problem is he wouldn't get the nomination. The conservative christians are too powerful in the nomination process for the Republican party.

There is NO chance of Hillary winning. None at all. It's impossible.

There is a better chance of a third party getting elected than Hillary.

So, that's a 0.000001% chance for a third party to win and a 0.000000000000000% for Hillary.

I have to agree with Thor, Gore backing anybody is just suicide.

Although, it's good to see the Democratic party potential nominees dropping like flies for the run in '08. It only means that Hillary is looking more and more like the Democratic candidate, which is a sure-win for Republicans.

I've spoken to several female voters. Females HATE Hillary.

Democrats have a much better chance at winning with Obama than they do with Hillary.

Most of the polling, she is trailing by several points. Only in a few polling is she winning, and only by a point or two.

From what I've seen, the polls where she is not within the MoE are polls that don't include Hillary Rodham Clinton

And if you talk to so many female voters that hate her, why is she pulling 40%+ as just Clinton? She actually pulled 51% over McCain in a CNN poll with Hillary Rodhman Clinton
