I am partly joking at the severity.

But, the fashion consciousness in OC has gotten VERY extreme the past 10 years or so. They are some definate dont's and depending on where you go, certain Malls and what not, you will get looks, and at some stores they won't help you based on what you are wearing....

In the schools it's even more cut throat, especially the coastal schools. If you aren't affluent or have money, it will reflect on your status....

It's a great place to live, don't get me wrong! Although, it doesn't all look like that show makes it. That's a really really small part of the OC.
