It makes me mad that the government tells me to turn off my A/C during the hottest time of day because they are running out of "energy". I'm sorry, but I refuse. It's hot, I'm pregnant, and if I need A/C, I'm leaving it on. I think that's dumb. I ...

| Flex Alerts make me bitter. It makes me mad that the government tells me to turn off my A/C during the hottest time of day because they are running out of "energy". I'm sorry, but I refuse. It's hot, I'm pregnant, and if I need A/C, I'm leaving it on. I think that's dumb. I don't understand why it is that I conserve energy all winter with out using the heater too much, I turn off lights when I'm not using them, and I turn off my computer.... I think with all those sacrifices, I can keep my apartment cooler for a couple hours a day. Sorry I had to get that off my chest. | ||||

| Re: Flex Alerts make me bitter. When Preggo Mama is happy...everyone is happy. I think it's bullshit that when I leave my house to go to my car I can't take air conditioning with me. And I think it's bigger bullshit it takes my car 2 minutes to get the cool air. | ||||

| Re: Flex Alerts make me bitter. There was actually some kid on that American Inventor show that had a thing that kept your car cool while you were in stores, etc.. they rejected it, but I've been seeing commericals for it There's also a thing from sharper image that keeps you cool, goes around your neck. Costs like $25 I think, supposed to work pretty well in places like Cali where it's not too humid, but is still hot. | ||||

| Re: Flex Alerts make me bitter. Tell the idiots who've controlled your state legislature the last 20 years to pull their heads out of their asses and build some new high energy effecient power plants. Tell them to quit regulating energy and tell them once they do that they can crawl in a ditch so someone with some brains can run that state. | ||||

| Re: Flex Alerts make me bitter. Thats the problem with regulation though, they're giving it out to everyone whether or not they can afford it and because its subsidized its "cheaper" so people use more. The fact is the regulation of power in cali screwed you guys royally | ||||

I love how they send out a "Flex Alert" and they want residents to conserve, but if you go to any Movie Theater, Mall, or business, it's an ice box....MUST. BE. Nice. | ||||

| No, this is the thing I was talking about http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/ca.../sku__SI758SL2 That autocool thing doesn't work, but some of the reviews I've read of this thing say it's pretty good in places that aren't very humid | ||||
