| hillary's gonna run http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/12/05/D8LQQF1O0.html Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has begun calling political operatives in Iowa and New Hampshire to discuss her prospects in the 2008 presidential field, her first outreach to operatives in key states with early contests. The New York Democrat began making calls to New Hampshire activists over the weekend and Iowa Democrats on Monday. Looks like I know who I'm voting for.... whatever (R) is opposing her. | ||||

| It's not a sure thing, Dean had a lot of momentum thanks to the blogger movement, and their influence has only increased since then. His downfall can be solely attributed to him, rather than the grassroots support he had. They played a huge role in the Democrats retaking Congress, the method of donations and exposure for candidates around the country helped tip them over. Look at Webb and Tester, huge longshots beforehand.. Hillary is most certainly not the favorite among that left wing blogging establishment. Clark, Feingold, and others consistently top the list at places like "Daily Kos" for who they'd like to run. I really don't know enough about Hillary as a politician or what her plans are as President to be against her straight out of the box, but I'm hoping someone like Clark gets the nod.. He seems like a very reasonable guy, and IMO it'd be nice to have someone with actual command (military) experience as Command[er] in Chief, considering how it's going in Iraq. | ||||

| Do I have to bring back other Republican predictions of "sure wins" over the past year? Strickland's effort is lost before the first engagement. Blackwell has won the race for governor half a year in advance of his election . . . although I expect no one will stop campaigning. RealClearPolitics - Articles - Blackwell vs. Strickland -- Part II: Coup de Grace Steele will win -Same guy, 3 days before the election Let alone if I start moving to other conservatives who thought taking back the Senate was basically impossible and the Dems would only pick up 12 seats "at most"...these predictions made just before the election Heck, I don't even have to get off this board to find people who were so sure Webb was going to lose, or go to OffTopic and find people who thought the GOP was going to hold on in the days preceding the elections You guys are MASSIVELY underestimating Hillary and what a Democratic Congress and Iraq for 2 years can do to the GOP | ||||

With all the negative press she's gotten the past 14 years, she is still leading or within one point of McCain in the last two CNN polls No one is going to think more positively about McCain than right now, he's St. McCain to many moderate voters...Hillary is constantly described as polarizing...she has little to go but up Any notion of implosion ignores the fact that she's been very well polished before she even took her senate seat, and has become more so since

His toughest campaign was barely winning in MA! What a test! Hillary came out of a much more republican state, and ran at the height of people being sick of hearing the name "Clinton" and has been a national figure in the spotlight ever since...in the past 6 years every event she has been involved in has been looked at to possibly slam her...shes not going to have a "macaca" moment...she is used to an extremely bright spotlight Kerry came in 2004 and the swift boaters came and he was like a deer in headlights Hillary could deal with clowns like that with one hand tied behind her back...this woman lived through the GOP revolution, lewinsky, bitter hate attacks from the right for 14 years...shes ready for prime time more than any candidate either party could field
