| Request Help With Research For My Book I'm currently writing a book about a man who was wrongfully convicted of mutilating his three children and is in prison for several life terms. He owns his house that the crime happened in. Here's my question: while in prison can he still rent or sell his house, provided that he own it? Thanks. Until I find out otherwise, I don't see why he shouldn't be able to. Essentially, the book does focus on supernatural beings, so that's what really killed his children, but since people don't believe in that anymore, he had to ahve done it himself and was convicted of the crime. | ||||

| I want to say YES. However, inmates have a hard time controlling their bank accounts to make payments, so I would write in a way for him to do that indirectly. | ||||

| Funny that you brought this up...I was watching a dumb show on TV with Amanda Bynes...I think it is called "What I like about You" and her and her sister buy or rent an apartment from a guy who is in prison. So I guess it is possible. | ||||

| Uh, it's dealing with supernatural forces, so of course it's a fictional setting. The crime actually went like this. He was a postman and lived a happy life with his wife and children until a drunk driver killed his wife. Two years later, her corpse was animated through sorcery, but no one knows who was the one who animated the corpse. The corpse captured him and the children and horribly mutilated the children in front of his eyes and he was about to be mutilated himself when another apparation appeared and gave im the power to repel supernatural evil through a tattoo of a Christian Cross on each palm. He was arrested and because of the mindset of modern people, no such thing as sorcery and evil spirits etc..., they could only conclude that he dug up his wife's body, tied his children down and mutilated them himself. Thus he was sent to prison. Last edited by Diamond Cross; 12-12-2006 at 05:31 AM. | ||||
