| And yet there is not one single link of "Democrats" attacking her based on race. In fact, I see only conservative blogs even talking about it at all. Last edited by Scrum; 12-11-2006 at 10:36 AM.. | ||||

| First, i have no idea what this crap is about the lack of message from the democrats in 2004. I got the message and understood it. They spoke in paragraphs, republicans spoke in sound bites. Naturally it takes more effort to comprehend what the democrat agenda when their statements are explanations instead of "vote for me or we will be hit again". When you buy the "lolz he said i voted for it before i voted against it.. flip flopper" but then don't bother to figure out the entire context of it, that is your own fault. 95% of the condoleeza/colin powell "uncle tom" "house n-bomb" name calling was done by other blacks. Nobody cares if we call clinton the first black president. The racial name calling is because the republican party is stuck with the rich white man stereotype. Most black people don't like siding with the "rich white man" (aka republican) because of their various reasons. So when condoleeza and others are associated to them, they get called names. Obama is a fresh face in the old, tired, corrupt government that is in place. He speaks better than many and has very little "dirt" since he is new in the game. I believe that is why a lot of people like him. He is too inexperienced right now, however I think he could be our first black president in 2012 or 2016.... AS LONG AS he keeps his nose clean. | ||||

| He's black, rhymes with Osama, and will never get elected. It'll make a great conspiracy (against blacks) story in '08.

| I was listening to Rush Limbaugh today. He was careful to call Obama "Obama Hussein Barak" several times. What a fucking jackass. He has no problem playing the race card, apparently, since there's no reason whatsoever to call the guy by his middle name other than to associate him with Muslims. | ||||

| He also announced that a woman had spit on a soldier. He then posed a very relevant, logical, rhetorical question which naturally followed from that story-- "Is this how the left supports our troops?" I think I'll listen to him more. I have been criticizing the war lately, as well as maintaining I'm not against the troops, but now after realizing that I might as well be spitting in soldiers' faces, I think I'll start voting Republican. Thanks, Rush. | ||||

It should be a non issue, but I'm sure there's plenty of people so bigoted that they're willing to write someone off or dislike them simply because their name sounds foreign.. so as I said earlier in the thread, expect it to be a big deal. I am sure he wont let himself be "swiftboated" by this, though.. It's not hard to put bigots in their place by calling a spade a spade.. If I were Obama, I'd call up Rush Limbaugh and ask to be on his show to discuss the middle name. Get it out there now and play offense and ask if anyone has a problem with it. If so, why? | ||||
