| C-Sections are painful. That is all.

| I reccommend pushing a baby out rather than having it ripped from the abdomen. 2 weeks later and I'm still all sore and yucky. Blech. | ||||

| I posted that after I got home...I popped on November 28th...so this Tuesday, that should be two weeks, right? Or will it be 3 weeks? Either way it sucks. I've been having these yucky headaches, and I think it's from having the spinal block...I hope it goes away with time... At least she's an easy baby. Just eats and poops. Sleeps the rest of the time... | ||||

So I go to school on Tuesday, and I take my son to his Preschool (on campus), and I step up onto the curb, and <GUSH> my water flippin broke at his school. So I rushed in and dropped him off, and then tried to get out of there inconspicously, I didn't want to say "I gtg my water just broke" because if I went into the hospital, and it turned out I just pee'd my pants, that would suck. So, I high tailed it out of there, and called the Dr. They were like, go to the hospital, it was your water, and it was. It sucked because it broke in public like that....last time it broke when I was sleeping. I don't have good luck with this do I? It's like a pregnant woman's worst nightmare come true. I wanted the lap top in the hospital, but it would have been pointless as I couldn't sit up to lift it. While I was there, I had to call nurses for help to hand me the baby because I could get up and get her. Then the nurses weren't exactly johnny on the spot with the pain meds, which sucked, and they kept wearing off before they would bring me my next dose. That sucked. All in all, it hasn't been a pleasent experience. And since she was breech, she might have some hip dysplasia because her legs were all squished so long being the wrong way in utero. Boo. At least this is it for me....I've had enough of this. | ||||

| We have two. I wasn't sure I wanted the 2nd one but my wife made a good argument for 2nd. I hear you...I can't imagine having a 3rd and a friend of mine is having her 5th!! Don't worry. Pretty soon your mommy brain will go away and all of this will fade and the days/weeks that now seem crappy will all be a fog and you'll only have good memories of this time. | ||||

| It's been 4 years since our 2nd was born. I still remind her of things that happened and she still thinks I'm lying every time. Either I'll say something she she'll say it didn't happen or happened some other way, or she'll say something and I'll have to tell her she's wrong. She hates it but occassionally says she knows I remember better than her and it bugs the shit out of her. So of course, being a good husband, I throw in a fake one every now and then to see if she's paying attention | ||||

| btw, your quote "I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center. - Kurt Vonnegut" ...............if you never go over the edge, how do you know where it is? | ||||

| My wife had our daughter 5 months ago naturally. I really felt bad for her because she tried to be the trooper and not use medication for the baby's sake but when she finally needed it, it was too late. After 11 hrs of labor and having to be induced twice after being stuck at 8 cm, I am still impressed that she wants another one. She did say that she not get a c-section unless she had no choice. I will admit that child birth brings out a vocabulary that would make a sailor look like a saint. I think the only person that really was embarrassed by the rather surprising outburst was my mother-in-law who politely tried to throw "god" behind the many "Oh's" but somehow she just wasn't loud enough. | ||||
