Went to the gun range yesterday...

Yeah, rented a fully auto machine gun. Faaan-tastic.

This was perhaps the coolest shot I was able to get...at the perfect time that you can see the burst at the end of my Kahr P40

And of course the reason we went; I promised my buddy I'd let him shoot my rifle.

AR-15 9mm conversion. Nice. Too bad they don't ever let people shoot .223 in the ranges like that.

The range I go to here, has the same rifle that they rent. I rented the .45 Thompson and went through about 20 boxes of ammo at full auto. It was a BLAST.

How was the accuracy with the machine gun?

I usually have to go out in the woods in the middle of the conservation area nearby to shoot rifles.

The local police range doesn't allow em either.

Nice dude...but they said it was something with a 'D'. 9mm conversion for sure, but are you sure it's an AR-15?

It could be an M4 converted.

M4 is a mil spec weapon. It is possible that it is the case, but unlikely. Chances are it is an AR-15. The AR-15 is just the civilian model of the military spec weapon. Being that it is full auto, it is possible it is a mil spec chasis. Did it have a 3 mode selector switch (-, ---, Auto)?

Yes, the switch included safety, semi, and full.

But of course. They did'nt have a chance. I started small though...hit up a preschool for now. I'll eventualy work my way up to a high school.

The weapon just seems really short to me to be an AR15, based upon the position of his arms (bent more with shorter rifle) when he is holding it. I think for it to be an AR15 and stand like that he'd have to be like 6'5", as to have really long arms. Looks like he may be creeping up on 5'9"ish at the most based upon the picture, maybe even a possible rival for ace3 if he starts sneaking into the 5'6" range.

I think they do make a civilian version of the M4 though. It has been like 5-8 years since I was last really into it so i am probably mistaken.

Ok, the one with the machinei gun is me, 5'11"...the other dude with the 30-30 is probably about 6' or so...a little taller than me.

Almost 400 between the 3 of us. The machine gun was the only gun we rented.

it is an ar system chambered for something smaller like a 9mm

The magazine looks like a 9mm, but the lenght of the gun is leading me to believe it is some sort of modified m4. Granted you have seen more m4 and m16/ar15s in your day than i have... so i will just take your word for it.
