He was among the first with the balls to call this whole Iraq thing misguided and doomed. Now he'll be among the first to say we're being played by Israel. Probably in a year or so everyone else will finally realize he's right.

I just think it's ironic how we're being played by Israel (according to Buchanan) when he didn't seem to have that opinion during Reagan's administration when we were selling arms to Iraq (which we said we'd never do because he was a known terrorist and human rights violator) and then dictator Saddam....

But sure.

You could use the same arguement that he has presented to say that the US has killed way too many civilians in Afghanistan... that only 3k of us died, so we have no reason to take over an entire nation to try to rid it of terrorists... not really a solid footing IMO
