not all felonies are acts against someone/thing. drug possession is a good example.

if you've served your time, IMO, you deserve the right to vote.

That's a great point, though I suppose anti-drug advocates would claim that being in possession of enough drugs to warrant a felony would be putting the lives of other citizens at risk [intent to sell, ruin lives, yadda yadda]

Yes, and I'll say it again. People that don't OWN ANYTHING don't have anythng to lose by voting for politicians that promise them free stuff. They have no COST to a cost/benefit analysis when they're standing at the ballot box. There is no reason for people that have no real property to do anything except attempt to redistribute other peoples stuff into their greedy hands.

Same for poor people. I don't think poor people should be able to vote because all they'll want to do is redistribute money to their poor bank accounts.

.....and rich people...they shouldn't be able to vote because all they'll want to do is vote to keep the money they earned.

.....and black people...they shouldn't be able to vote because all they'll want to do is push "black issues."

.....and jews...all they'll want to do is make us all eat matzo ball soup.

.....and teachers...................

...blah

Again, so you'd strip anyone who is homeless from voting?

i agree, but i don't think drug possession should be a felony crime if a crime at all.

everyone votes for their own self-interest, landowner or no. This is an idiotic argument.

I don't own any land... but I do pay taxes and I still have plenty to lose even though i can't bet "the farm". Your assumption that land owners are the only productive americans that contribute to the bottom line is just flat wrong.

"Owning" is an illusion anyway. You are renting from the government via property tax. Quit paying your "rent" and see what happens.
