I don't own your driveway but apparently I own the road to which your driveway attaches. And it's not going to support road construction, it's going straight in my pocket becuase, as you've said, I own the road!

Yeah man, inefficiency has so much to do with greed.

Oh wait, I forgot, in the perfect free market world, there's no greed, everyone will set up tolls amounting to just enough to keep up with maintenance on the road and turn a little bit of profit! Right?

If you're trespassing, you're automatically a threat to me and my property.

The market provides us with food and many other VITAL needs that we have. Why you think they cannot efficiently provide for something as measly as a road is beyond me.

No, you can not.

The law immunizes citizens who use deadly force in self-defense against criminal prosecution and civil liability.

Under the old law, a person who killed someone in their home had the burden of proof to show that they were in fear for their safety. Now (under the new law), all a person has to do is establish that the person they killed was "unlawfully" and "forcibly" entering their home when they shot the victim.

in Florida, (you) can now "stand your ground" even if (you are) outside of (your) home. But to do so, (you) must "reasonably believe" that using deadly force is necessary to prevent "imminent" use of deadly force against (yourself) or others.

FindLaw's Writ -- Sebok: Florida's New "Stand Your Ground" Law Why It's More Extreme than Other States' Self-Defense Measures, And How It Got that Way

No, you can't shoot me for just sitting on your lawn.

Stand-your-ground law - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Florida statute allows the use of deadly force when a person reasonably believes it necessary to prevent the commission of a "forcible felony." Under the statute, forcible felonies include "treason; murder; manslaughter; sexual battery; carjacking; home-invasion robbery; robbery; burglary; arson; kidnapping; aggravated assault; aggravated battery; aggravated stalking; aircraft piracy; unlawful throwing, placing, or discharging of a destructive device or bomb; and any other felony which involves the use or threat of physical force or violence against any individual."

Zach Ragbourn, a spokesperson for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, has said that laws like Florida's "are more accurately called 'Shoot First' laws. They allow a person who just feels something bad is going to happen to open fire in public."

Besides, I never stated I can shoot you for sitting on my lawn, and not reap any consequences. I said I can shoot at you. (Since, you know this all started by your retarded "argument" about shooting into a crowd)

So, before the Feds started setting up farm subsidies, everyone was dying of hunger? Ok.

I love how you bolded "trespassing" to make it easier for me to find

Nice the cop out................. I expected "if you're sitting on my lawn how do I know you're not going to harm me?" and then this stupid fucking smiley

Yes, you said you can shoot me for coming on your property. Yes you would go to jail if you shot me for sitting on your property. Your intellectual dishonestly is ....................... aggravating.

Really? So if a vacuum salesman comes and knocks on your door, you think it perfectly reasonable to shoot him because he's automatically a threat to you and your property?

I doubt that reasoning complies with the law..

edit:

Oh, and I made this its own thread since it's so far off topic

So then you would have no problem with me owning and selling nuclear weapons, right.

Everyone can own one and they should only be in trouble if they use it.
