Nature in Orange County

Took my son to the park today, a little park that's fenced in behind a high school in Garden Grove. My son had a great time running around playing,

and we even saw some nature in our fair section of America....

My son said "WHAT iS THAT MOMMY!!!"

I replied, "A Squirrel I suppose!" I'm not sure, is that a squirrel? Or a chipmunk? I have no idea.

Then I hear a rustling in the bushes, and this is what I see:

Nature......Sweet.

Did your son see that?

And yeah, that's a squirrel. Clever little bastards.

There's a whole family of squirrels that lives here, there's like 6 of them that come and eat all the bird food I put out.. so I finally gave up and now they get fed along with the birds

There was a thread awhile back on SA about a guy who had the same trouble with his squirrels, so he decided to go to war and put up something to block them from getting to his feeder.. but it didn't work

Here's some of those pics:

But then, success !

So he updated his defenses.. with nails!

But the squirrels, being the clever little bastards they are, managed to find a way

In .gif mode:

And of course, what thread is complete without some funny chops

Damn squirrels. They crawl into our attic, get stuck, die, and stink up our entire house. And yet, my dad has yet to find a single one when he goes up to clean the bodies out.

It's all really creepy.

The Canon S3 IS is a good camera. Nice selection. I have the SD800 IS coming in the mail.

How did you know it was a Canon Ja?

It's a great camera, I love the pictures it takes. Wonderful!

Motivez, those chops are good, did this get posted on OT? I could have sworn it did, but I could be trippen....

My son didn't see them, they were elevated and I would have had to lift him up to point it out...but he's see bunnies before, so I just showed him the squirrel. We have no squirrels, you have to go literally to the end of the county inland to see nature, so that's only like something I get to go to like, once a year, to see a squirrel at a local park is OUTTA SIGHT!
