![]() EITHER WAY this verbal diarreah she is putting forward represents the democrats about as well as Pat Robertson and Anne Coulter represent the republican party. They represent a small minority.

| Actually... I have found a better comparison. If Cindy Sheehan, though unelected, can represent the democratic war policy.... Then this guy, who had meetings with the president, can represent the republicans on gay prostitution and drugs. Its only fair. | ||||

| Yes, he was in the documentary "Jesus Camp," if you saw it. I'd heard of him. The dude was one of the biggest faces of the evangelical right, as pointed out he had weekly meetings with high level Bush Administration officials, including the President himself to discuss important issues for the Christian Right in this country. Anyone who kept up with that specific area of politics had certainly heard his name.. which is why what happened was so hilarious. If he had been a small time, two bit minister from Backwater Arkansas, it wouldn't have been national news. | ||||

Be careful about throwing stones from a glass house now that the Dems are in charge of it.

And I agree with Nixon, Democrats got elected in spite of her more likely. That said, I'm glad she's holding the Democrats feet to the fire! let them know, loud and clear every day, that this is what they want and this is what they expect. The same old blah blah blah about campaign finance reform, which won't get implmented anyway? Yada yada, business as usual? It's about time for people on either side stood up and made their voices heard. These are the issues that we want addressed; for better or for worse, they simply cannot be ignored any longer. They must be acted upon. I would rather the Democratic party take some meaningful actions, rather than keep the status quo. Then again, they don't really need to take action, do they? All they have to do is put the brakes on this out of control, radical current administration and they'll be a success.

| shut it down From what I saw Sheehan and those with her didn't just disrupt the press conference they shut it down completly. Whether you believe in her views on the war in Iraq or not you can't justify the way she expressed them in this case. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you! | ||||

| I don't think Sheehan represent the party. Not the majority of it anyway. That was her words I quoted. How she thinks. That her and her activist friends won the election. But the media did go overboard with Sheehan in the first place and I think pure Bias had a role. And now it comes back to haunt the party. What comes around goes around, or something like that...... | ||||

| Sheehan played a much smaller roll in winning the Democrats the election than blogs like Daily Kos, Atrios, MyDD, etc.. They had a huge impact on fundraising and grassroots organizations.. I wont say entirely, but they had a huge, huge role in putting people like Tester into office. Without their support I doubt very seriously that Democrats would have taken the Senate. | ||||
