So I've been invited to a soul food potluck, and the expectations on me are high since I'm one of the few actually from the South. So I ask, what should I take? Certainly most people will be bringing southern dishes, but I want to bring something less boring...REAL soul ...

Certainly most people will be bringing southern dishes, but I want to bring something less boring...REAL soul food. Ideas? So far I'm thinking pigs feet, chitlins, tripe, or cow tongue. | ||||

| You should bring sweet potato pie, corn bread, greens (do something different like mustard or turnip), fried chicken, red or/and black beans and rice, wild rice, yams, fried okra. Just some ideas. | ||||
