what "type of meeting"? Do you know how Congress runs? You can't just go "inquiry! point of order!" again and again when your debate time has run out or you are saving your debate time for something else, nothing in Congress would ever get done

How would you like if i flooded every single thread with 9 different posts as question to the board as a whole on whether a thread was breaking the rules, is that how you'd like things to run here?

In this case the GOP had debate time remaining, but instead of making a nice speech accusing the Democrats of something, they tried to break the rules and they realized Tom DeLay tactics don't work when you're in the minority

I do know how Congress runs, and so does everyone there. That's not the point. This is the point...

"My point of order is, the distinguished speaker, when he was in the minority, numerous times made points of order that were . . ."

The gavel came out again.

"That is not . . . comments. . . . The gentleman will suspend!" Frank bellowed, the gavel again striking the desk. "Comments on the past behavior of the speaker might be interesting, but they are not points of order."

It has nothing to do with who is right. Yes Frank was right. I agree. But he was also acting like a jackass on a power trip and he was laughed at by everyone who was filmed on camera. He made an ass of himself.

What McHenry was saying wasn't out of line or unfamiliar. Everyone on both sides has done the same thing, without the speaker pulling a temper tantrum.

When he isn't embarrassing the Democrats about ethnic cleansing, pissing off the African Americans or making ridiculous statements about Katrina I guess he fills in to run a power trip and get laughed at by all on Capital Hill. What a champion he is to the Democrats.

Any idiot knows you can ask the rep who is running your side for a few minutes or even 30 seconds to make a point, he was merely trying to waste time, what Frank did over the past 30 years or so does not mean he is going to put up with someone doing it not once but time after time again

McHenry was the personal protege of Tom DeLay, he knew what he was doing and Frank was nice and only got a little annoyed when McHenry would phrase his over-ruled and out of bounds stunts THE EXACT SAME WAY, however, notice how Frank continually allows DeLay Jr to raise further inquiries even after he has repeated himself again and again

You don't need to go outside of Fox News clips from Katrina to see how terribly the GOP government handled Katrina well into the time it was a federal emergency, just watch anchors like Shepard Smith who were on the scene

The post-relocating of Katrina refugees and rebuilding of NO has been COMPLETELY in the hands of Republicans, and instead of rebuilding and replacing they have displaced in an attempt to rob people of their home-city for political points...how else would you describe making conditions unbearable for African Americans to return to their homes in large numbers except ethnic cleansing?

Ok, again, lesson in how Congress runs, the Democrats ran it for 60 years, and if no one follows the floor rules, nothing would ever get done, both Democrats and Republicans never allowed the minority party to just flood the House with roadblocks so nothing ever got through there
