Barney Frank comes down on Republicans for not knowing Congressional rules *vid*

Frank was basically acting speaker for a bit late this afternoon, and the GOP tried to pull some sly tricks and Barney, being almost universally considered the most intellectual member of Congress, tells them whats up

"Point of orders never end with a question mark, I never heard of one that did"

The look on their faces is priceless, I do not think they enjoy being in the minority

Republicans Senators have accused Bush of conducting our military in such a way that is criminal, charges of extreme nature against this president are bipartisan, and if you look at how blacks that were a Dem powerhouse in LA politics were spread throughout the south and many red states, it can certainly be considered such

However this is off topic as the matter pertains to his particular actions today not every statement he has ever made or action he has done

It wasn't particularly brillitant it was just the Republicans were particularly dumb and didn't understand the rules after being in the majority for 12 years

Frank embarrassed himself and the Democrats by showing how big of a hypocrite he is and exposed the flaws/partisanship in the minimum wage bill. And the liberal blogosphere is trying to spin it as the Republicans don't know how the government works.

They know how it works, and they know what typically happens. Frank himself has a history of doing the same thing.. repeatedly. Frank embarrassed himself. He made a fool of himself in his childish rant to prevent any discussion about Samoa. He was being laughed at because he was conducting himself like a fool, not because he was so intelligent.

He was 100% right about the rules, and where is this history you speak of where anything even close to similiar to the absolute stupidity of Republicans for minutes on end occured?

No, he was perfectly calm and instructive, he only got slightly annoyed when they said the same exact thing about 5x in a row, but it looked like he enjoyed it
