SHAME ON NANCY PELOSI!

The "NEW" House of Representatives just announced the raising of the minimum wage in the United States and Territories to $7.50 per hour, but with ONE exception...American Samoa.

Samoa is the home of Starkist Tuna and employes thousands of Samoans to work there.

In turn, Samoa is owned by Del Monte Foods. Del Monte is based in San Francisco. The Congressperson who represents San Francisco is......
(drum roll, please)........Nancy Pelosi!

Fox and Friends transcript that publicized the Star-Kist:

STEVE DOOCEY: We teased you with this a moment ago. On Wednesday the U.S. House passed a bill that says the minimum wage in this country will rise over time from $5.15 an hour to $7.25. Now, here's the thing. Included in the small print is the fact that the minimum wage will now include the islands of the northern marinas but it exempts American Samoa which is the only U.S. Territory not subject to minimum wage laws.

BRIAN KILMEADE: What's the big deal about that?

DOOCEY: It covers all islands except American Samoa. Why American Samoa?

GRETCHEN CARLSON: It just so happens Steve that Star Kist tuna employs 75% of the island's work force. They are making a lot of tuna there. Apparently then that is shipped off to San Francisco in a district where Nancy Pelosi is from. And now her people are saying that, you know, she has never been influenced by Star Kist at all but other people are saying, hey, this is a little bit of hypocrisy because how can this particular group of people benefit by not having to pay the new minimum wage which is almost $2 more an hour before.

This may be nothing but a bit of embarrassment for Pelosi, but let us be the protector of the tax payer and the good hard workers in American Samoa and look at those Donations and Meetings between Pelosi and Star Kist/Del Monte.

We really shouldn't have given Pelosi enough power to draft, pass and sign bills all on her own.

Republicans really should have a couple measures to protect against that. Maybe call one a veto and another something like a filibuster.

Nah, screw it. Lets just put on the tinfoil hats and make multiple threads about it.

I think that is rather clever. Lawyers do it all the time in court. They know when an objection is coming, but once the words are out of your mouth and the Jury hears them.......

And note to Pelosi: I know a few Samoans. Many live in the South Los Angeles area. You don't want to piss these people off!

I really hope this story gets big. I do oppose the wage increase but if your gonna propose it then you damn well better make it fair to all people.

What an AWESOME story. Gore doesn't recycle, Kerry eats alone, and Pelosi institutes the same policy that two years ago Bush supporters would've defended with all their might.
