No, jesus H christ, it all comes back, either through our banks or through goods purchased from America. Although dollars MAY changes hands quite a few times in Mexico, it eventually always comes back. That's what keeps the exchange rate alive.

uh, yes, that's how many of them cross. not all can afford someone to smuggle them through. many of them try to tough it out in the desert, and many of them don't make it. they try all ways to get across.

a fence WILL make it more difficult. that's hardly debateable.

You are right. There is no simple solution. And no ONE thing can fix it. So there are multiple things happening.

1) Build a fence to make it harder to cross the boarder. Your view = Waste of money, won't stop anyone

2) Make it illegal to hire illegals. Don't allow illegals chidrens in school. Fine anyone that rents or sells them housing. Your view = Racist

Seems to me that having a wall will stop a lot from crossing. Not all, but a lot. Then, pass this legislation to make it illegal to hire illegals or rent them housing. Make it so their kids can't go to our schools. Then make sure everyone in Mexico knows about these new laws. Buy commercial space on their TV stations and in their newspapers.

Those things should seriously stop the tide of illegals crossing. We have built a wall to make it hard to cross, and also taken away their motivation to cross, since they won't be able to find jobs or housing if they do get here.

I wish they would do the same thing in NJ. They're thinking of closing 25 hospitals here. Americans are filing bankruptcy in this state because they can't afford the staggering costs of their medical bills, yet illegals get free medical coverage...

Get them all out of my state is what I say.

Everyone will have to register their nationality with the government. No one will be exempt. People of certain nationalities will be targeted for removal. Those who look like they might be from those nations will be marked as suspects, constantly subject to harassment, official and unofficial.

My comment was based on the story posted that began the thread. Not on your post that came after my comments.
