Would you like this cheese sandwich? Yeah? Here you go.

I wiped my ass with the bread that you're now eating. What's that? You don't want the cheese sandwich anymore?

I guess you were for the cheese sandwich before you were against it.

Silly flip-floppers.

I was just pointing out how stupid that charge actually is, now that there's no context to it. And your example is one of an undetectable defect in a product, along with misrepresentation. While the misrepresentation is an accurate analogy, the very foreseeable consequence of occupation of a foreign country is insurgency and guerrilla warfare, that is detectable, and so your logic doesn't hold up.

In fact, I was for the war before I was against it, too. But I was a conservative then, and therefore pretty retarded.

I feel safe to say that knowone knows the future consequence of the Presidents Plan, or a Pullout, Pullback, or even stay the course. There is no "magical" power to know what is in the Best interests of the Nation at this point. But the President is the President and Commander in Chief until he is removed from office by the end of his elected term. The members of Congress in both parties have every right to say and do what is within their power. But I would be careful before I proclaim the moral high ground. More than a few Republicans said things they should not have said about Bosnia. I don't recall many Democrats wanting to cross party lines to praise them?

No reason to repeat that mistake because they are more interested in the polls now!

This quote by Samuel Adams should be considered carefully when considering our actions in Iraq and our potential future actions in regards to Iran! In fact it should be taught in our schools to our children.
Hre it is....
--If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating cost of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you.
May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.- Samuel Adams

I have found this quote to be as admirable as any ever uttered by even Churchill. And believe me Churchill issued many great ones!-TZS

Who is this Churchill you speak of? He issued many great quotes, I'm not familiar, they revoked my library card, perhaps you can educate us all on this issue
