Depends on the type of land and a few variables. Like, if it is next to water it will be very expensive because you can use it for irrigation, fishing, and hunting.

Here is a few examples for nebraska. Note the land type before looking at the price..

Madden Farms
Consisting of 2,240 acres total with 1,600 acres (Tract 1) and 640 acres (Tract 2) in two locations, 11 miles and six miles, respectively, north of Bushnell, Nebraska on County Road 17. The property is generally irrigated farmland (1,200 acres) with some grassland, dry cropland and CRP.
Bushnell, Nebraska $1,815,000

Kimball County Farmland
The Farm consists of 1,280 acres with 909 acres of irrigated cropland and the balance in dryland crop or treeCRP. There are four wells and the respective permitted pumping capacity is 600, 650, 700 and 1,850 GPM. There are seven center pivots in fair to excellent condition. The Kimball County Farm is a productive farm operation in a good growing location. The farm has strong cash returns and the investment of $1,000 per acre is a very good value.
Kimball, Nebraska $1,250,000

Nebraska CRP Land
The property consists of two unimproved sections of mostly CRP grass and the balance native grass in western Kimball County near the Wyoming border. Acreage breakdown: CRP (1,076, Native grass (183, Deeded (1,259+/- Assessor’s tabulation.
Bushnell, Nebraska $420,000

North Platte River Retreat
This one of kind hunting fishing recreation property is located just off of I-80 at the Brady Exit, 23 miles east of North Platte, Nebraska. The property consists of 69 acres of accretion land and lies just north of the South Channel on Brady Island. There are four separate lakes with two being very large. The property offers a variety of recreation with fishing, deer hunting and waterfowl hunting available on the property.
Brady, Nebraska $400,000

Hart Ranch
The Hart Ranch consists of 1,280 acres of mixed-use agricultural property. The Hart Ranch is located 17 miles southwest of Crawford and near Fort Robinson Sate Park in the scenic "Pine Ridge" area of Northwest Nebraska. The area offers an abundance of wildlife including fox, pheasant, deer, elk, turkey and grouse to name a few. The property has a mix of land types including a small amount of Ponderosa forest, undulating to gently rolling cropland and native grasslands.
Crawford, Nebraska $650,000

I'm confused. Where are you getting 7% from? 27 families is like .00000000009% of the population.

2nd, they don't lose the right to inherit their property, they either pay the taxes of sell of part of it to pay. As mentioned earlier, the land is very large and part of the inheritance is equipment. It's not an all or nothing deal. Out of 500 acres, selling maybe 10-20 acres could pay for taxes. I guess I just don't see your point.

The Republicans killed this bill by attaching other shit to the legislation. They should have been voted on seperately, but like the Republicans attaching troop funding to drilling in Alaska, they did this so they could spin it how they wanted in an election year to their idiotic constituents who will eat it up.

Dems killed this because they know moderate Republicans have to pass a minimum wage increase no matter what so they have something to talk about in this election.

The minimum wage increase will still happen.

I doubt that very seriously. Isn't the session almost over for the year?

Watch it happen. The moderate republicans are scared for their lives in the Northeast and Midwest and will even pass a minimum wage increase by itself right now if it means they might survive another election.

I think you're confusing me with someone else. I never said either number 440 or 27 initially that was someone else, get your quotes right please. I was asking how you arrived at 7% though which you ignored.

take the number of familes that couldn't afford to pay the tax
-----------------------------------------------------------
total number of families that could pay the tax

So 440 or 27 is the number I'm guessing, doesn't really matter which one. What are you dividing that by? If the total population, it is no where near 7%, thus my question. Sorry, but when you throw out 7% saying it's significant, I want to know 7% of what.
