The more rich someone is, the more likely they are to save (including extreme examples) and the more poor they are, the more likely they are to direct spend (which helps the economy directly)

I haven't disputed that, of course thats teh case, the point is saving does as much or mroe good than spending its a pretty basic principle of SUPPLY side, by saving money they generate money supply.

You're right they weren't tripled but they went up about 50%.

Buying a ford truck certainly helps ford, but putting your money in the bank helps someone else buy a ford truck which helps ford. I don't see how it's different.

Then you dont know how the banking system works.

If you put 5,000 dollars in the bank with a federal required 15% reserve you just increased the money supply to 33,333 dollars on your 5,000 dollars. So even something as basic as a savings account does a shit ton of good.
