Also, you still haven't refuted the basic economic principle:

The more rich someone is, the more likely they are to save (including extreme examples) and the more poor they are, the more likely they are to direct spend (which helps the economy directly)
I haven't disputed that, of course thats teh case, the point is saving does as much or mroe good than spending its a pretty basic principle of SUPPLY side, by saving money they generate money supply.

You're right they weren't tripled but they went up about 50%.

I disagree

I believe buying a Ford Truck is better than taking that money and putting it into a checking account

Got it.
All money is taxed multiple times. Why only get bent out of shape over this money?

hsmith is a jewel in the rough

Thorgrim is making outragous claims that maybe 0.05% of the rich do and applying it to everyone as if it were the standard.

News flash hot shot: Even if some guy buys $5 billion in gold, he will be taxed when he divests any of it.

Buying a ford truck certainly helps ford, but putting your money in the bank helps someone else buy a ford truck which helps ford. I don't see how it's different.

Then you dont know how the banking system works.

If you put 5,000 dollars in the bank with a federal required 15% reserve you just increased the money supply to 33,333 dollars on your 5,000 dollars. So even something as basic as a savings account does a shit ton of good.

A recession started because of back room deals and politics. But you're advocating that the rich should have come "bail out" the politicians/bankers for making shitty decisions.

WAIT!! THEY DID!! (this is a link)

George Harrison bravely stepped in to provide tremendous amounts of credit to the banking system. This action prevented immediate bank failures and bankruptcies and a total collapse. The market recovered a good bit of ground but began to fall again before year-end.

Link to 0.05%, and he is only taxed for the gold BECAUSE of the liberal progressive taxing system we have today

Absolutley, but where is the relief for the rest of us? Why don't we get some relief for the people who really feel the effect of this before the rich get it?
