a pharmacist told me it's ok to take up to 800mg of aleve. I kind of didn't believe him but then i remembered the last time I got a pain reliever from my doc, each pill was something like 500mg of naproxen and I had to take 2 pills twice daily as needed..... that's 2000mg/day.

OTC aleve has 220mg of naproxen (on the bottle I'm looking at, anyway) so go ahead and pop 4 and then 8 hours later if the headache isn't gone take 4 more. And if it still isn't gone then the cause it (IMO) environmental and you need to figure out what's causing it.

I can't take aspirin/ibprofen, etc.

Essentially im allergic. I take Tylenol when i really can't stand some sort of pain. But for else, I can't take drugs. No antibiotics, no pain relievers, no narcotics.

I have a serious thyroid problem and drugs either really mess up my system and make me really sick or they have no effect but to severly upset my stomach.

Usually I have to sleep a decent headache off. But I'm an extremely busy college student and don't have the luxury to sleep often. I am looking for something I can do while I need to slave over the books or on something for work.

Do you wear glasses ?. SHOULD you wear glasses. Maybe you need to go to ther opticians ?. All that study may have made you get headaches ?.

Yea the "20/20 vision" thing is no longer the general consensus. m-b hit the nail on the head. She was having trouble reading things I was able to clearly see and has been straining to read some things. She didn't realize she was having vision problems.

Remember the old lady from My Cousin Vinny who finds out she needs thicker glasses?

That's how it though, you don't realize your eyes are getting worse.

I remember, I was in my 8th grade English class and I was trying to read the board and couldn't. I was like, why the hell doesn't this lady learn to write with chalk darker?

The idea of needing glasses didn't even register as a consideration.

After asking her to repeat what was up there for the entire class, I wound up getting my eyes checked and needed 'em pretty badly. I remember when I got them I was amazed at what all I hadn't been seeing.. corners on desks, buildings, etc.. leaves on trees, individual branches. It was pretty amazing
