My post was a response to Thorgrims bullshit post.

But yes, media bias is an issue of free speech.

After all, one side does want to control and limit what one side says on the air in favor of themselves.

Liberals want to limit conservative speech and conservatives want to limit liberal speech and when conservative news media publish conservative articles liberals call it media bias and when liberals publish newsmedia articles conservatives call it liberal bias. Yet they never keep their own newsmedia in check for media bias.

Usual partisan bullshit.

The newsmedia job is to report the news, not be preachy and tell people what they should think.

A talk show should be alowed to succeed or fail on its own merits and flaws. A talk show is not the news media but about people expressing their opinions.

Air America isn't fair time, it was a small underfunded experiment and doesn't represent ALL the opposing views expressed on right-wing radio, liberals and conservatives agree on some controversial issues, where is the libertarian or socialist voice?

there wasn't a "market demand" for right wing radio, it took years to develop and very generous corporate advertising to help their agenda

there is no demand for much of right wing media, especially places like the washington times, but you have Rev. Moon who believes he is Jesus Christ (literally) and an extreme religious fanatic who funds these under-performing media operations so conservatives have a newspaper to check everyday with their right-wing views

Unforunately, liberals don't have crazy religious fanatics giving billions of dollars to radio companies to make it that both sides of america are heard

There are always two sides to each issue, pro and con...one can say whatever he wants, in support of a position, and then another can list all the reasons people could oppose that position...its that simple

This is as pathetic as what happened at C-Span. A long time ago far far away they had one phone line for viewer comment on the political talk shows. First come, first serve. Sounds Democratic eh? But NO! Not enough Liberal callers! So C-Span put in three lines. Democrat, Republican, and Independent. So if you have 100 Republicans and only 20 Dems and 12 Independents who actually watch and call it does not matter. We "affirmative action" you to the next call by going from one line to the next on each issue. Do I need to explain the character of people who think that is fairness? NPR did two hours of opinion on a 2 minute story?

And you listened to people repeat themselves over and over again for 2 hours?

Funny I think I heard Hannity talking about it was the turning point

One program had guests saying it didn't matter and the war took a dramatic turn for the better and the insurgency took a dramatic hit it would never recover some...

another said it wasn't a big deal to the insurgency
