I think the intelligent choice for moving energy policy forward is to place all ideological extremists on an island with soapboxes and baseball bats...they can lecture and beat the crap out of each other ad nauseum. All the hot air generated from this will provide the world with PLENTY of energy to get USEFUL things done for once. and hey, we can broadcast it on premium cable for added entertainment value. In think he is more or less pointing out that those profits belong to exxon...yes we shoudl accept a small skimming of those for basic government functions. but not for central planners to direct towards pet projects
