"Dying for your faith" in the proper Biblical context means that if you had a choice between death and renouncing your faith, that you would choose death glady than reject your Lord. It has NOTHING to do with killing others that hate your faith.

While there have been numerous cases of Christians killing others for that reason (Crusades, etc), most of that was hundreds of years ago. Sadly, for the Middle East, those people still fight with that viewpoint.

her yelling out "this means war" is pretty

the teachings of Jesus had nothing to do about violence against others. using that analogy is very hypocritical to his teachings.

I agree. Paul said we do not war with flesh and blood but with spiritual powers, etc. Christians are called to warfare - just not against each other.

About 95% of all wars since the time of Christ do not fit into the criteria of what Christian Warfare is, defined by the theologians.

Pretty scary, thankfully I didn't grow up around crazy people like that.

However, I have a hard time condemning indoctrination of children. It's a parent's right to pass down their values, etc.
