Checks and Balances

Will Democrats take the Senate? Simple poll, and seeing how the buzz of the upcoming elections are all over the boards, I thought it'd be cool to have a straightforward vote.

I think they will, unfortunately. By a very slim margin.

I voted yes. The Republicans have screwed things up for long enough. It's time we let the other party fuck things up in the opposite direction. It kinda counter-balances things in the long run.

I voted yes too. All that's needed is 1 more race to go to the Democrats. I have faith that the American people will do what I consider to be the right thing

Since it specifically says senate I voted no. If it ws the house or senate I would have voted yes.

Definately seems possible if not probable. The senate will probably be a tougher egg to crack. I dont see them taking both and I see the house as the most likely of the two.

The House is definitely more likely of the two, but with the Senate, they only need to win 1 more out of the 4 "very close" races that Thorgrim has been posting.

I think they can manage that. I don't see the GOP as being very excited about turning out this year.

Hopefully long enough to impeach, implement net neutrality, fix the constitutional crisis we're facing, etc...

Personally i feel a section of government controlled by one party, and the president being of the other party, will result in a best case scenerio for all americans.

Republican controlled congress would keep democrats in check and democrat controlled congress would keep a republican in check

Yep. There needs to be enough power in an opposition party to keep the party in power from going overboard and doing shit like the Republicans have been doing for the last 5 years

Everytime I listen to him, I always tell myself that that is the biggest problem.

And the rare times he does, they seem ridiculous.
