They shouldn't. Murtha is a fool to even bring that up, it makes no sense to consider taking some kind of revenge about this.. and if they try to do that I would most certainly not support that action.

Oh please, it has nothing to do with me liking it or not. I simply don't believe the White House would go out of their way to make Pelosi and the Democrats look good.

It's not in their play book, or in their interests at this point considering how they're floundering in the polls.. In the past, they've always jumped on these types of situations to slam the Democrats. This time would be no different.

What's their motivation to make her look good and contradict all of the other ridiculous stuff being put out there?

They really didn't if read everything Snow has said on the issue, he's taken a fairly neutral stance. The article makes it seem like they did, but it wasn't the case.

Also, she didn't say she would fly commercially until after she demanded it for her family, friends and fellow CA politicians, after she pulled the feminist card, after the demands, and finally only after she was swarmed by a wall of dozens of reporters with video cameras in her face questioning her position and the words of her staff.

I agree with Snow, the media is being unfair to her about this. But that doesn't mean Snow or the White House is on her side. He generally takes a neutral stance on issues (as he has on this) to prevent controversy.

Actually, it's between the Sergeant at Arms and the DoD. Unless I'm mistaken, the Sergeant at Arms is not an official member of her political staff.

That does not imply the request did not come from her office and her people. When have they denied that? This is a military matter. You must go through proper channels. Everything must be approved or rejected by a proper chain of command. And after that is goes back down through the very same chain of command. The military does not have to talk to Pelosi or her staff about the use of their aircraft.

When she was informed that the plane could not make it without stopping, she said she would be willing to fly commercial. Her security detail advised against it, and this situation began.

The story is that bitter right wing ideologues are distorting the facts in order to make Nancy Pelosi look bad. That's very obviously the case when looking at the facts that anyone can confirm.
