| FWIW in Birmingham UK state schools for kids 5-1 year old are very keen to educate about different cultures. As a result nearly all the world religious festivals are 'celebrated' Tjis means that hardly a month goes by with the parents having to equip the kids with, sparklely clothes, beads, particualr foods or this or that or whatnot. This causes much fretting by the WAGS of the enforcement division. F'instance Jocastas mummy is a dab hand with a needle & thread, has lots of money & doesnt work, so her kids are always very well supplied in these efforts, ..., & it wont do for little poppet not to be able to hold her head up high etc Such has been the consternation at having to meet all these extra requirements that the irritation at having to do has to some extent informed the kids attitudes to religious festivals in general Last edited by avsp; 02-12-2007 at 08:04 AM..
