Maybe it's because of the whole past thing...how many americans blacks were lynched by american whites...and the reverse question?

I don't think the Texas state authorities have a particularly shiny record when it comes to black rights, so personally I go with my first instinct

My first instict is that people of whatever group always try to have exclusive clubs that only let members of that group in. At any rate, I don't really care if a minority only wants to let other members of the minority in. It'd only be a problem if the majority won't let the minority in. Blacks get the shit end of the stick so many other times in life, if they want to have their own nightclub, so be it.

He was indeed trying to make a political point, the same one I am amking

I never said he found NO comedic value in it or that he never sent it in to be aired somewhere for the obvious comedy value, but the comedic value is laughing at ignorant all-white crowds, which is in itself a political issue...just like going to an anti-war demostration and poking fun at people is political, not just "a comedy show"
