While I don't think the crowd was about to go raid the local jewish community center, in my experience all-white bars show blatant racism towards the end of a night

I thought this was an example, if you guys are convinced the crowd thought the guy really liked Jews and was just making a joke, then I guess move it to Speakeasy for humor value

I've never been to, or seen a bar in the South that was "all-white".

Yankees like to act all superior, when you're just as ignorant as rednecks.

Perhaps you didn't see the clip, I didn't see any black people

there are "country themed" bars that don't exclude blacks but they are pretty much all-white if you are doing a headcount...mostly, its a loose rule

You're using a clip from a fucking comedy show to try to prove a bogus and ignorant political point.

A lot of black people here are just as country as we are.

It really all depends on where you live.

Where my father lives it's 99% white. His neighbor is on the town council. Whenever a black person tries to move in they literally hold a town meeting and do everything they can to scare the family off and prevent them from buying a house. They claim it's for property values, etc. But when you have them over for dinner or you start getting some alcohol in them all you hear is nigger this and nigger that.

Yet in my hometown, if you walk into a bar and say something racist, the closest white person is liable to pound your face in for it.

it wasn't a comedy show, it was a guy who went to a bar and had a friend video record it

some black people liking country != there are no all-white crowds at southern bars

I've been to two types of all-white bars...the "racism is acceptable" and the "walk away slowly from rambling racist"

I've never seen anyone stupid enough to try talking racism in a bar in Philly, although all-white house parties will certainly do it

yes you know EXACTLY what i am talking about, and to be honest I'm a little annoyed that in a forum that is supposed to be open you have whites on this board acting like they haven't been in similiar situations in bars or alcoholic events

Being from the South and having encountered a lot of rednecks, I've observed that most small town southerners have never met a Jew, and probably have a favorable opinion of Jews because evangelical Christians view Israel as an ally against the real enemy, muslims. The only rednecks that really hate Jews are KKK memebers and such.

I've got to agree with Spicy here ... "Jew hate" is pretty nonexistant these days in the South except in a very small and very disliked minority of rednecks.

As for racism against African Americans, there is as much up north as down here. When I was in Boston I was amazed at how intolerant groups were of each other in certain areas, same thing when I was in NYC. Southern racism might be a bit more blatant, but it's just as subversive and existant everywhere (sadly).

That said, I know a few bars and clubs in downtown Dallas that are exclusively African American and blatantly refuse entry to white people. It goes both ways.

Sounds like a good policy for protection
